Sometimes, you think you know the right things to say when the time comes but when it hits you, it's just not the same.
Months back, when he said he's preparing for it, I thought he was kidding, as we were waiting for some other changes to take place first before I think it may be possible. And when he asked me to close my eyes and arranged the glowing light sticks, I wasn't expecting it. And when I saw the words, I still think he's joking. Until he whipped out a ring, then it hit me that it is real. First it was tears, then followed by nonsensical things like me telling him I'm glad someone is finally marrying me, haha, pretty dumb of me. But I was still in a shock, the whole night, not believing that it is real. And he told me the story of how the ring came about. I'm impressed with the whole effort of him going about doing it. But saying yes, is not because of the diamond but the person. Just like how it was done was not important but who it is.
